The Tale of Tsar Saltan

Three sisters muse aloud about what they'd become if they were queens — and the tsar takes one of them as his wife. The envious sisters swap the letter, and the young tsarina and her son are thrown into the sea in a tarred barrel. Pushkin's verse tale of how the truth finds its way home all the same.
