The Grey Neck

A young duckling has a broken wing, and in autumn, when the whole flock flies south, she stays behind alone on the freezing river. The ice-hole keeps getting smaller, and a fox is already prowling along the shore. A sad and very vivid story about winter, fear, and hope.
