The Hemp Thread of Miwa

Night after night, a young man of unknown origin comes to visit a princess of Yamato province; told by her parents to find out who he is, she secretly sticks a needle threaded with hemp thread into his robe, and by following the thread comes to learn his true identity — this is the old tale that tells the origin of the name Mount Miwa.
