The Train to Lyon
Sofia: Is this seat free?
Man: Yes, sit down. It’s a long ride to Lyon.
Sofia: Hello. I’m Sofia.
Man: Hello, Sofia. Nice to meet you.
Sofia: Do you go to Lyon often?
Man: Every month. My son lives there. He has a small family now.
Sofia: Oh, that’s nice. How old is his baby?
Man: One year. And you? Do you have family in Lyon?
Sofia: No, I study there. I’m a student.
Man: A student! What do you study?
Sofia: Music. I play the piano.
Man: My son plays too. Well, he plays the radio very loud.
Sofia: Ha! That’s not the same thing.
Man: No, it isn’t.
(The train slows down.)
Man: This is Lyon. Goodbye, Sofia. Good luck with the music.
Sofia: Goodbye! Say hello to your son.
Man: I will. And maybe one day he learns the piano too.
