The One-Word Dictionary
It is Monday. The class begins.
“This word is difficult,” says the teacher. “Can you spell it? Use your dictionary.”
The small boy looks in his bag. He looks under his chair. He looks in his shoe.
“What are you doing?” says the teacher.
“I can't find the word,” says the boy. “It is not in my dictionary.”
“All words are in the dictionary,” says the teacher.
“No,” says the boy. “My dictionary has only one word. And it is the wrong word.”
