Flat A or Flat B
(Ines and Ollie sit on the sofa, laptop open between them, comparing two apartment listings.)
Ines: Okay, so there's no other alternative — these are the only two flats in our price range.
Ollie: Fine. Hit me.
Ines: Flat A is right by the tube, but the kitchen's the size of a closet.
Ollie: And Flat B?
Ines: Bigger kitchen, more suitable for actually cooking, but it's a twenty-minute walk to the station.
Ollie: So neither is perfect.
Ines: Nope. Neither.
Ollie: What about the rent?
Ines: Same price, actually. Nine hundred each. And both landlords seem reliable — they answered my emails in ten minutes.
Ollie: Okay, so it's not about money.
Ines: Right. It's location versus space.
Ollie: I could live with either, honestly. I just don't want a crazy commute.
Ines: Then it's Flat A. Twenty minutes on foot every morning would kill me.
Ollie: Fair. I'm not exactly a morning person either.
(Ollie scrolls back to the photos.)
Ollie: Wait — neither of these has a washing machine.
Ines: Seriously?
Ollie: Look. Flat A says shared laundry room, third floor. Flat B says the same thing.
Ines: Great. So either way, we're carrying wet towels down three flights.
Ollie: Every landlord in this city thinks that's normal.
Ines: It's not. But fine — Flat A. Small kitchen, close tube, and we accept our fate with the towels.
Ollie: Deal. At least we picked something.
