Back to the Mop
Maya: How much was this TV again?
Uncle Ray: Fifteen pounds. From the market on Sunday.
Maya: Fifteen pounds for a box of snow.
Uncle Ray: It was cheap. That’s the whole idea. Try channel one.
Maya: A man selling a mop.
Uncle Ray: Next.
Maya: Channel two. Different man, same mop, different brand.
Uncle Ray: Next.
Maya: Channel three’s just snow. So is four. So is five.
Uncle Ray: Hit the top of it and click again. It likes that.
Maya: I’m not hitting your TV, Uncle Ray.
Uncle Ray: Then click slowly. It’s old. It needs time.
Maya: The picture goes every time the wind blows.
Uncle Ray: Then sit still.
Maya: Okay… channel six. Perfect picture. Look at that.
Uncle Ray: What’s on it?
Maya: A commercial. They’re selling a television.
Uncle Ray: What brand?
Maya: A good one. Four hundred pounds.
Uncle Ray: And the mop?
Maya: Twelve.
Uncle Ray: Go back to the mop.
