What I Think About The Long Road
Welcome back to my little film blog. I have written reviews here for three years now, mostly about films that nobody in my small town has heard of. This week, I want to talk about a new series.
The series is called The Long Road, and honestly, I did not expect to like it. The first episode is slow. Very slow. But I have watched all six episodes now, and I am glad I did not stop.
What makes it special is the writing. The characters feel like real people. They make mistakes, they say the wrong thing, and they change slowly. I have rarely seen a recent show with so much patience.
Of course, it is not perfect. The ending is a little weak, and some viewers have complained about that online. I understand the response. After such a careful story, the last episode feels rushed.
