Twice a Week Is Not Enough
Hassan: Morning, Mei. You’re early today.
Mei: I come every day now. The stretch class is the best part of my morning.
Hassan: Every day? I only come twice a week.
Mei: You should come more. After a week, your back feels so much better.
Hassan: My back is the problem. I sit at a desk all day. By the evening it really hurts.
Mei: Mine used to hurt too. The stretching helped. Honestly, I sleep better now.
Hassan: Does it help with stress? My job is very stressful right now.
Mei: For me, yes. We stretch, we breathe, we chat a little. I feel calmer all day.
Hassan: Calmer sounds good. My doctor says my condition is fine, but I still feel tired.
Mei: Then come on Monday too. It’s easier than you think.
Hassan: Easier than running, that’s true.
Mei: Much easier. And nobody is faster or slower here. We all just stretch.
Hassan: Okay. Twice a week is not enough. I’ll try every day.
Mei: Good. Now touch your toes. Slowly.
Hassan: Slowly is the only speed I have.
