Ten Minutes of Boat

Take one piece of paper. Old homework is good. Very old homework is very good.

Fold it in half. Fold it in half again, and then open the second fold. Now you can see a line down the middle.

Fold the top two corners down to the line. Now you have a hat. Fold the bottom up. Turn the paper over. Fold the other bottom up too. Now it's double: two sides, one hat.

Open the hat with your fingers. Press it flat. Now it's a square. Fold the bottom corners up. Open it and press it flat again. A small square!

Now hold the two top corners and pull them back, slowly, slowly.

It's a boat.

Put it in water. In ten minutes it's paper again. But for ten minutes, it's a boat.
