Is This Grandma’s Street?
(Aya and Dad are on the bus. They’re going to Grandma’s house.)
Aya: Dad, is this Grandma’s street?
Dad: No, it isn’t. That’s the school.
(The bus stops. Then it goes again.)
Aya: Is this Grandma’s street?
Dad: No, it isn’t. That’s the market.
Aya: Is this Grandma’s street?
Dad: No, Aya. Grandma’s house is next to the river. It’s a white house with a blue door.
(Dad reads his book.)
Aya: Dad, there is a river.
Dad: Yes, yes.
Aya: There is a white house too. It has a blue door.
Dad: OK.
Aya: And there is a woman at the door. She has a cake.
Dad: A white house? A blue door? Aya! Is this Grandma’s street?
Aya: No, it isn’t, Dad. That was Grandma’s street.
