A Good Half
(A quiet corner of the university library. Zola and Theo are practicing their presentation.)
Theo: Okay, that’s my part. What do you think? Be honest.
Zola: No, it’s really good. Like, genuinely.
Theo: But…?
Zola: There’s no but. Well — okay, one small thing.
Theo: I knew it.
Zola: The diagram on slide four? It’s great, I love it. It’s just maybe a little… busy?
Theo: So you can’t read it.
Zola: I didn’t say that. I said it’s busy. That’s different.
Theo: Right. And the summary at the end?
Zola: The summary’s strong. I’d just, you know, highlight the main point a bit more. So people remember it.
Theo: So they don’t remember it now.
Zola: I didn’t say that either.
Theo: Zola. Translate for me. What are you actually saying?
Zola: I’m saying it’s a good presentation, and you should change slide four and the ending.
Theo: So half of it.
Zola: A good half!
