The Wrong Station
Adam runs into the station. He has a big bag and a map. His train is at ten.
He looks up at the board. The train to London is on platform two. “I'm going to be late!” he says. He runs to platform two.
But the train is not there. A woman looks at his ticket. “This train left five minutes ago,” she says. “The next one is at eleven.”
Adam sits down. One hour is a long time. Then he looks at his ticket again. The trip is not from this station! His station is across the city.
“Oh no,” he says. “Now I need a taxi.”
