The Space Cat
Sam and Mia are making a comic at the kitchen table. They have one big white page.
“First, we design the hero,” Sam says. “He is a cat. A space cat!”
Mia draws the cat. Then she draws a box for the words. “This is where we form the dialogue,” she says. “What does the cat say?”
Sam thinks. “He says: ‘I am hungry!’”
Mia writes it in the box. Then they make another box, and another. First the cat is hungry. Then the cat finds a fish. Then the cat is happy.
“It’s done!” Mia says. She holds up the page.
Sam looks at it. “Wait. Space cats don’t eat fish.”
Mia looks at him. “This one does.”
