Terrible Weather
(A bus stop in Manchester. Rain. A queue of two.)
Grace: Terrible weather, isn't it?
Omar: Awful. And it was sunny this morning.
Grace: It always does this. You leave the house, no umbrella, and then look.
Omar: Story of my life. Have you been waiting long?
Grace: Twenty minutes. The 142 is never on time.
Omar: It's late again, is it?
Grace: Always. I think the driver stops for a cup of tea.
Omar: Lucky him. At least he's dry.
(A bus appears in the distance.)
Grace: Oh, here it comes. Finally.
Omar: That's not the 142. That's the 50.
Grace: Of course it is. Of course it's the wrong one.
Omar: Typical, isn't it?
Grace: Completely typical. Well, nice talking to you.
Omar: You too. Stay dry, if you can.
Grace: In Manchester? No chance.
