Room 3 at Nine
(Room 3, the small room with the broken blind. Thursday, twenty to nine.)
Ines: You're in my room.
Callum: I was setting up in here at eight. Where were you at eight?
Ines: On a train. Look, I booked this room in March. The sales conference is in here, nine to twelve.
Callum: Which sales conference?
Ines: The one with fourteen people from Leeds.
Callum: Fourteen? There are six chairs in here.
Ines: I asked for the big room. They said no.
Callum: Well, I've got the design review at nine. Also in here. Also booked.
Ines: The system doesn't double-book.
Callum: The system doesn't do anything. People do.
(Ines opens her laptop on the one free chair.)
Ines: Okay. Room 3, Thursday. Here's my booking. Here's yours.
Callum: Two bookings. Great.
Ines: Three bookings.
Callum: Sorry, three?
Ines: Nine to ten. The subject is booking rooms correctly.
Callum: Who booked that?
Ines: Our manager.
Callum: You're joking.
Ines: I'm not. Can we focus? In twenty minutes, three meetings start in a room with six chairs.
Callum: And one of them is about this.
Ines: One of them is about this.
