Your Half
Bao: Okay, we need a few things. Let's make a list.
Sam: Good idea. We need milk, bread, and eggs.
Bao: And rice. We always need rice.
Sam: This shop is small. They don't have everything.
Bao: That's okay. Look, they have milk here.
Sam: Get two. We're going to need a lot this week.
Bao: These eggs or those eggs?
Sam: Those ones. They're cheaper.
Bao: Good. What about bread?
Sam: This bread is nice. Let's get it.
Bao: Okay. I think that's everything.
(They go to pay. The man tells them the price.)
Sam: Twelve pounds. That's a big bill for a small bag!
Bao: It's fine. We're going to share it. You pay half, I pay half.
Sam: Six pounds each. Okay, that's fair.
Bao: Next time, let's go to the big supermarket.
Sam: Why?
Bao: It's cheaper. This little shop is fast, but it's not cheap.
Sam: True. But it's right next to our flat.
Bao: That's the problem. It's too easy!
Sam: Here, take your half.
Bao: Thanks. Let's go home and make dinner.
