Three Sports, One Weekend
Our town's leisure centre offers three weekend sports, and people argue about which one is best. Let's compare them.
Skiing is the most exciting, but also the most expensive. You need special boots, a warm coat, and a lot of money. It is faster than the others, and a little more dangerous too. People who like skiing really love it.
Sailing is quieter. You sit in a small boat, you pull a rope, and the wind does most of the work. It is cheaper than skiing and much calmer. The only problem is the wind. On a windy day, sailing is wonderful. On a still day, you just sit in the water and wait, which is more boring than watching paint dry.
Basketball is the easiest to start. You need a ball and some shoes, nothing more. It is the cheapest of the three and great training for your legs. It is also the most social, because you can't play alone.
So which is best? The most active people say basketball. The richest say skiing. And the most patient people, clearly, go sailing.
