Three Cups of Milk
Grandma has three cups of milk on the table: a big red cup, a blue cup and a small yellow cup. Grandma isn’t there.
Eli drinks the milk in the red cup. “It’s very hot!” he says.
He drinks the milk in the blue cup. “It’s very cold!” he says.
He drinks the milk in the yellow cup. “It’s warm. It’s good!” He drinks and drinks. The yellow cup is empty.
Grandma comes back with the cat. “Eli! Where is the milk in the small cup?” she asks.
“Sorry, Grandma,” says Eli. He is sad.
Grandma laughs. “The big red cup is my cup. I like hot milk. The blue cup is the cat’s cup. She likes cold milk. And the small yellow cup is Eli’s cup!”
Grandma drinks the hot milk. The cat drinks the cold milk. And Eli is happy.
