Slow Is Fine

Bruno the tortoise climbed the hot hill. The sun was high. Halfway up, he stopped. “I need a break,” Bruno said.

A robin landed next to him. “Are you okay?” the robin asked.

“I’m just slow,” Bruno said. “But slow is fine.”

Bruno rested during the break. He ate a little grass and drank some water. After half an hour, he was feeling better.

“The top is not far now,” the robin said.

“Then I can go on,” Bruno said. And slowly, slowly, he reached the top of the hill.
