Half of Everything
Bruno comes to the cafe counter. He is very careful with money.
“How much is a coffee?” he asks.
“Two dollars,” the barista says.
“I want half a coffee. So I pay one dollar?”
“No. Half a coffee is still two dollars.”
“Then I want half a cake too. And half a tea.”
The barista smiles.
Bruno thinks. “Okay. I want everything. But cut it in half.”
