Grandma’s Favourite
(A child and Grandpa sit on the floor with old paint tins.)
Child: Grandpa, what is this colour?
Grandpa: That is blue. Like the sky.
Child: And this one?
Grandpa: That is yellow. Like the sun.
Child: And this?
Grandpa: That is brown. Like my old boots.
Child: And this little one?
Grandpa: Ah. That is pink. That was your grandma’s favourite.
(The child holds the pink tin close.)
Child: Then this one is my favourite too.
