Biscuit and the Gold Bag
My name is Biscuit. I am a street cat. I live under the blue house on Pine Street.
Every morning there is food on the back porch. The bowl is small and brown. The food is old and dry. I eat it. It’s fine.
Today the bowl is different. It is big and white. Next to it there is a gold bag. The bag says FANCY DINNER. It is a new brand.
I smell the food. It is soft and pink. It smells like fish. I eat all of it.
It is better than the old food. It is much better.
I sit on the step and I think about tomorrow. Tomorrow the small brown bowl comes back. The old food isn’t fine now. The old food is bad.
This is a bad day for a street cat.
