Where Is My Shoe?
(It’s Monday morning. Rafa has his school bag and one black shoe on his foot.)
Rafa: Grandma! Where is my shoe?
Grandma: Is it under your bed?
Rafa: No. There is a ball under my bed. And a banana.
Grandma: A banana? Is it behind the door?
Rafa: No. My coat is behind the door.
Grandma: Is it in your bag?
Rafa: No! My books are in my bag. Grandma, the school bus!
Grandma: OK, OK. Sit down, Rafa. Think.
(Rafa sits down on the floor.)
Rafa: Grandma… your shoes. One is brown and one is black.
Grandma: Yes. They’re my shoes.
Rafa: No! The black one is my shoe!
(Grandma gives Rafa the black shoe. Now she has one brown shoe on her foot.)
Grandma: But… where is my shoe?
Rafa: Is it under your bed, Grandma?
