What Does a Scientist Do?
What does a scientist do all day? A lot!
A scientist studies the world. She asks questions, like “Why is the sky blue?” or “How do bees talk?”
In the morning, she works on a big project. She does tests again and again. She writes down every fact in a small book.
In the afternoon, she reads. She looks for new information about her topic. Reading is a big part of the job.
At the end of the week, she writes a report. The report tells other people what she found.
A good scientist needs one skill most of all: she never stops asking “Why?”
