The Tooth at the Back
(A kitchen in Accra, early morning. Kofi runs in with one hand over his mouth.)
Kofi: Sena! Sena, look!
Sena: I don't see anything.
Kofi: My tooth. It came out.
Sena: Where? All your front teeth are still there.
Kofi: It's at the back. Look.
(Kofi opens his mouth wide.)
Sena: Oh! There's a big space back there.
Kofi: But nobody can see it. I smile, and there's nothing.
Sena: Hmm. I lost a few at the back too, you know.
Kofi: Really?
Sena: Really. Here, open again.
(Sena takes a photo with her phone.)
Sena: Now you have a picture of it.
Kofi: Can I show my friends?
Sena: You can show any person on this street.
