The Most Normal Famous Person
Every year, this magazine writes a celebrity profile. Usually the person has a big house, three cars, and a swimming pool. This year is different.
She has sold ten million records. But her lifestyle is unusual for a celebrity. It is very, very normal.
She lives in a small apartment. She takes the bus. She buys her own groceries at the same store every week.
She makes her own coffee. She has one cat. She goes to bed at ten.
“People think a famous life is exciting,” she says. “Mine isn’t. And I like it that way.”
Her fans send her thousands of messages. She reads them on the bus.
Other celebrities have big parties. She stays home and watches TV.
At the end of our meeting, she washes the two coffee cups herself.
Maybe that is the most unusual thing about her. In a world of big houses and fast cars, the strangest celebrity of all is the one who lives like everyone else.
