The Lion and the Mouse
A big lion sleeps in the sun. A little mouse runs over his nose.
The lion opens his eyes. “I can eat you, little mouse!”
“Please, no,” says the mouse. “One day I can help you. A mouse can help a lion!”
The lion laughs. “You? Help me? No pig, no horse, no snake can help me. But go. You are too small to eat.”
The next day, a net catches the lion. He can't run.
The little mouse comes. The mouse bites the net, again and again. The lion is free.
“A small friend,” says the lion, “is a big friend.”
