The Best Day of All
Grandma points at the wall planner. “What do you do on Monday?” she asks.
“On Monday I go to school,” the child says.
“And on Friday?”
“On Friday I go to school. But after, I do my homework fast. Very fast.”
“Why so fast?”
“Because of Saturday!” the child says. “On Saturday I play. I play all day.”
Grandma smiles. “And Sunday?”
The child thinks. Then she points at Grandma. “On Sunday I come to you.”
“That,” says Grandma, “is the best day of all.”
