Rest Is the Cure
Tim came to the nurse's room at Maple Street School. His face was hot and his nose was red.
“I've got a cold,” he said. “And I've got a headache.”
The school nurse looked at him. She put her hand on his head.
“You've got a small fever too,” she said. “How are you feeling?”
“Not good,” said Tim. “Can you explain it to my teacher?”
“Of course,” the nurse said. “But first, you should go home and rest. You should drink water and sleep.”
“Will I feel better tomorrow?” Tim asked.
“Maybe not tomorrow,” the nurse said. “But soon. Your body needs time to get better.”
She gave him a warm drink. Tim felt a little better already.
“Thank you,” he said. “Now I understand. Rest is the cure.”
