Mom’s Breakfast

It’s Sunday morning, and Mom is sleeping. Dad and Dora are cooking breakfast for Mom.

Dad cooks two eggs. Then Dora puts bread and cheese on a white plate. She puts a cup of tea next to the plate.

“Mom loves eggs,” Dora says.

Dora and Dad take the breakfast to Mom. Mom is in bed.

“Good morning, Mom!” Dora says.

But Mom is very tired. She’s sleeping.

“The eggs are getting cold,” Dad says.

So Dora eats an egg. Dad eats an egg. They eat the bread and cheese, and they drink the tea.

Then Mom gets up. “Good morning!” she says. “I’m very hungry. What is for breakfast?”

Dora has the empty plate in her hand. “It was eggs,” she says.
