Trevor: Whose ruler is this?
Class: Mine!
Trevor: It’s got Jade’s name on it.
Jade: Oh. That’s my ruler.
Trevor: And this schoolbag?
Class: Mine!
Trevor: It’s got last year’s bus ticket in it.
(Nobody takes the schoolbag.)
Trevor: One eraser. One exercise book. Whose?
Class: Mine!
Trevor: Last thing. A pencil case. Everything in it is new.
(The room is quiet.)
Jade: That’s not a student’s, Trevor.
Teacher: No, it’s mine. I lost it in September.
