Grandpa Pim's Calendar
Grandpa Pim has an old calendar on the wall. It has every birthday in the family.
His granddaughter looks at it with him. “Whose birthday is this one?”
“That’s your mom, in March. The fourteenth of March.” Grandpa Pim points. “And here is your dad, in June. The second of June.”
“And this one in October?”
“That’s me,” he says. “The first of October. I am very old now.”
The girl looks for her own name. She finds it in December. “Here I am! The fifth of December!”
“Yes,” Grandpa Pim says. “The best day of the year.”
