Career Day
It was career day at Lincoln School. Each child stood up and named a job.
“What do you want to be in the future?” the teacher asked.
“A policeman!” said a boy. “I want to help people.”
“A doctor,” said a girl. “I like to make people well.”
“And you, Mia?” the teacher asked.
Mia stood up slowly. “I want to have a cake shop,” she said. “A small one.”
“That's a real business,” the teacher said. “What is success for you, Mia?”
Mia smiled. “When my mum eats my cake and asks for more.”
