All About Twins

Do you know any twins? Twins are two children born to the same mother on the same day. Some twins are female, some are male, and some pairs have one of each.

There are two kinds of twins. The first kind look almost the same. They have the same eyes, the same hair, the same face. It can be hard to tell whose shoe or whose bag is whose! The second kind do not look the same. Their appearance is different, like any brother and sister.

People often ask if twins think the same way. The answer is no. Each twin is a different human, with a different mind. One twin may be quiet; the other may be loud. One may love books and be very intelligent about animals; the other may love sport.

Many twins say the best thing is this: you always have a friend who is the same age as you. From the first day of your life, you are never alone.

So twins can look the same or different. But each one is special, just like you.
