A Lot of Toys for a Little Money
Rosa wanted to buy a present for her little brother. She went to the toy shop on Market Street.
“How much is the red car?” she asked.
“That one is ten dollars,” the assistant said.
Rosa had only six dollars. The car was too much.
“And the small blue one?” she asked.
“The blue one is cheaper. It’s five dollars.”
Rosa thought hard. Five dollars was half of ten, and she had enough for it. But she wanted the big red car.
Then she saw a box of toy animals. A whole lot of them, for four dollars.
“My brother loves animals,” Rosa said. “I’ll take the box.”
The assistant smiled. “Good choice. A lot of toys for a little money.”
